William Leslie is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is an artist, professional photographer and creative writer who has always been fascinated with color, texture and style and this has resulted in his wide variety of multi-media artwork.

His talent was recognized from an early age, earning him numerous awards and accolades. William spent several years perfecting his craft and showing his work in Oklahoma and Texas. Although he has been known to often change his subject matter, he always returns to the human figure, believing that the body is one of the most challenging and luminous forms of artistic expression.

William was highly successful in the field of visual merchandising in the retail sales industry. However, he realized that he most desired to dedicate himself to the free form expression of his craft. In 2001 he left the structure of corporate America to pursue his aspiration to create art on a full-time basis.

Over the years, William Leslie has introduced alternative methods and mediums into his work. These have included oil pastels and acrylics, pencils and ink, photography and sculpture, as well as his experimental work with modified collage techniques, the latter of which has resulted in his unique dimensional style. His work has been commissioned and sought by private collectors and is currently displayed in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Europe and Central Africa.

William Leslie's work has evolved greatly throughout his career. He is constantly challenging himself with ideas that reflect his environment and inspire his work. His photographic works feature intricate compositional quality, including flora and fauna, fashion and design, landscapes and children. All of his pieces are alive with passion and emotion. In his own series of illustrated educational children's books,“ Paint; A Horse of a Different Color” and “The Brunch Bunch” , a collaborative effort with Rosemarie Leslie, William's unquestionable artistic versatility is displayed. He is an enlightening and thought-provoking writer and his brilliant illustrations captivate and delight in ways that people of all ages can appreciate.
